Living a Healthy Lifestyle without Restrictive Dieting with Intuitive Eating and Fitness Coach, Jonny Landels

Jonny Landels joins the podcast today to discuss diet-culture and intuitive eating from his experience.  Jonny is an intuitive eating and fitness coach. His bio: You’re in the right place if you’ve always felt “too big” and “too heavy”.

In this episode, Jonny shares his experience growing up with parents who had a complicated relationship with their bodies and food, and how that led him to believing he was ‘fat’ from a young age. In his 20s he tried very restrictive dieting, pushing himself to the limits with crossfit, and ultimately found a coach who focused on intuitive eating and finally saw positive results in his body and mindset.

Topics discussed in this episode:

  • Health at every size and intuitive eating

  • Viewing fitness as a look vs fitness as a lifestyle

  • Jonny’s backstory and how he helps others now with his coaching.

  • Disordered eating habits.

  • Diet culture from the POV of a man

  • Things that listeners can do to help improve body image and anti-diet culture specifically for the men in our lives.
